Unit Guiders

    Unit Guiders work directly with the girls in one of five different age groups.  In a unit, typically, there are unit leaders, a treasurer and opportunities to share talents and skills on an as need basis.  No matter how much time you can spare, we can help find a position that’s right for you. District Positions     Guiding Units are grouped into districts for administrative purposes.  At the district level you will work primarily with adults in a variety of positions such as commissioner, treasurer and secretary. As well, there may be opportunities to help at events, special projects and with cookie sales. To find out about district positions in your community,contact our office at 403 283-8348 or at ggcinfo@calgareaguides.com Division Positions    The districts are grouped into divisions.  in Calgary Area we have 13 divisions.  Divisions also have many volunteer opportunities, such as commissioner, treasurer, secretary, and others who may help with events and special projects. To find out about division positions in your community, contact our office at 403 283-8348 or at ggcinfo@calgareaguides.com Area Positions     Calgary Area is the administrative head of Guiding in Calgary Area which includes all of Calgary, Chestermere, Cochrane, Bragg Creek, Exshaw, Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise.  the work is divided between committees that include Membership, Public Relations, Program, Camping, International, Site Facilities, Training, and sub committees for specialized areas of work.  If you would prefer to work with the adults, on a very flexible schedule, by supporting one of our committees contact our office at 403 283-8348 or at ggcinfo@calgareaguides.com  to find out more about working on the Area level.
