The following sessions are extra
training put on by Calgary Area trainers and other committees.
These will count as Enrichment Trainings and can be counted towards your
Enrichment trainings pins.
Outdoor Activity Leadership
- Why not take the girls to
parks, hiking, play wide games, explore the natural environments in
Calgary
and beyond . In this session we
will discuss ways to plan for outdoor activities. We will also look
at the OAL training stream
and how you can take parts of it to improve your skills for activities
and increase your comfort level for taking the girls outdoors and
camping . We will also talk about
other organizations with
resources that could help you.
This training is aimed at newer leaders primarily working with the Sparks
to Guides.
Christmas Crafts for All Branches - this
session will hve you completing some crafts that you can take back to
your units and having demo's on other Christmas Crafts.
International Information
Evening - the International Committee will provide information on
selected trips, and the applications process. Information will
also be provided on how to organize an independent trip for your Unit
Babysitting Course - a two
day course on Babysitting provided by the Red Cross for Pathfinder aged
girls.
Site Orientations -
Sign up to learn about each of the
guide camp sites. You will learn where everything is on the site,
as well as how to use the particular site. Site orientation is
required by at least one of the leaders before you will be allowed to
camp on the site.

Mockingbird - meet at the
Lodge (park in the parking lot straight across from the gate)
Westover - meet at the
parking lot.
